Level 2 Horse Sport Ireland Coach
Tom Slattery is an accomplished show jumping rider who has represented Ireland on numerous occasions. He is an accredited Horse Sport Ireland Level 2 coach & has run his own stud/livery/training yard for over 20 years where he successfully trained many riders to international level. Throughout his career Tom was 5 times Irish National Champion with 3 of these in succession from 1999 to 2001. Also in that period he won 36 National Grand Prixs. In 2009 he won the Mini Grand Prix at the Dublin International Horse show along with a 4th placing in the main Grand Prix which awarded him Leading International rider. Through sheer dedication, hard work and a great love of the sport Tom was fortunate enough to ride many great horses over the years that brought him to the pinnacle of his career, representing Ireland on numerous Nations Cups Teams. In the latter part of his career Tom was appointed to the International affairs selection committee where he was involved in the selection of Irelands Senior Nations Cups teams along with being Team trainer. More recently in 2010 he was appointed Chef d’Equipe/team coach for the Irish Pony showjumping team & also showjumping coach for the Irish Pony eventing team. These teams have achieved European Medals 5 years in succession. Tom joined Manton Grange Stables in September 2015 where he took up the position of coach/rider for Frederick Goltz.
Dedicating most of her life to horses Elaine has worked with top international riders including Peter Charles & Laura Kraut. Her career took her all over Europe and America where she gained a vast amount of experience on the International showjumping circuit. In the latter years, alongside her Husband Tom, Elaine was involved in the daily running of their stud/livery/showjumping yard & was solely responsible for their stallion & AI management. Elaine joined the team at Manton Grange Stables in September 2015.
Conor is 18 years old and is currently studying at Galway Community College with plans to come full time to Manton Grange Stables on completion of his course. He started showjumping at the age of 6 and has never looked back with the support of his parents and brother, Eoin, who also competes internationally and is currently based in Germany. Conor has a number of notable achievements to his name already as a young rider and has also played Football at county level.

Sam is originally from the New Forest where she worked at a riding school and livery yard until the age of 16. In 2005 she went to train as a working pupil for a year. She was then steadily promoted within the establishment. Sam was the deputy yard head for 2 years then ran the riding school of 70 horses and ponies for a further 3 years. She then ran the livery yard of 30+ horses and ponies for a further 3 years and has now joined Manton Grange Stables as our travelling Competition Groom to the Show Jumpers who go out competing all over the UK and Europe.
Sam has her NVQ level 2, BHS Stage 4 & PTT qualifications. She has groomed for Eventers up to a CIC*** level, Dressage riders to Advanced Medium and a Para Dressage rider Grade 2
Sam has personally competed up to Elementary level in Dressage and 90 Eventing.

Hannah joined us in September 2017 and is already a vital part of the Manton Grange Stables team. She first started working with horses at the age of 16 as a working pupil and achieved her NVQ Level 2 & 3 in a Riding School with Livery yard and Point to Point horses. Gaining experience in teaching children and regularly attending point to point meetings. She then moved to an Event Yard as a Competition Groom and attained her HGV license. Hannah has 3 horses of her own and enjoys show jumping and dressage.
